VISTAL - a new 2D visualization tool of protein 3D structural alignments
UNLABELLED We offer a tool, denoted VISTAL, for two-dimensional visualization of protein structural alignments. VISTAL describes aligned structures as a series of matched secondary structure elements, colored according to the three-dimensional distance of their Calpha atoms. AVAILABILITY VISTAL can be downloaded from http://trantor.bioc.columbia.edu/~kolodny/software.html.
متن کاملComparative Visualization of Protein Structure-Sequence Alignments
Protein fold recognition (threading) involves the prediction of a protein’s three-dimensional shape based on its similarity to a protein whose structure is known. Fold predictions are low resolution; no effort is made to rotate the protein’s component amino acid side chains into their correct spatial orientations. Rather, the goal is to recognize the protein family member that most closely rese...
متن کاملProvenanceMatrix: A Visualization Tool for Multi-taxonomy Alignments
Visualizing and analyzing the relationships between taxonomic entities represented in multiple input classifications is both challenging and required due to recurrent new discoveries and inferences of taxa and their phylogenetic relationships. Despite the availability of numerous visualization techniques, the large size of hierarchical classifications and complex relations between taxonomic ent...
متن کاملA 3d Visualization Tool for Landmark Allocation
CurrentCAD/CAM software in prosthesis design is based on various landmark positions on a residual limb, When a user changes the view on one of the sub-windows, the views of the other two sub-windows will also change such as, weight bearing areas: patellar notch, medial and lateral flares of tibia and pressure relief areas: fibular head, distal tibia and fibular. A 3D visualization tool to explo...
